
Shanghai, China, February 8, 2021-- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Shandong Yulong) will use Honeywell UOP's advanced catalytic reforming and aromatics technology at its refining and chemical integration item in Longkou, Shandong Province, China.
UOP will provide a package of services for item start-up and subsequent operations, including technical licensing, engineering, key equipment, advanced catalysts and adsorbents, production training, and technical services.
Shandong Yulong's refining and chemical integration item will include UOP's naphtha pre-hydrogenation unit and CCR platform™ unit, which also uses UOP's olefin removal process (ORP), Sulfolane™ aromatic hydro carbon extraction process, Isomar™ isomerization process and Tatoray™ toluene dismutation process. to convert naphtha into high-octane gasoline and aromatics feedstock. Aromatic feedstocks can be further produced to produce a variety of synthetic substances.
After the completion of the item, Shandong Yulong expects to produce 3 million tons of mixed aromatics per year. Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was jointly funded by Nanshan Group and several other enterprises.
