Shanghai, China, November 10, 2020——Honeywell Aerospace Group participated in the China International Import Expo for the third time in a row, and made a wonderful appearance with a variety of its products and solutions, such as ultraviolet cabin cleaning system, JetWave satellite communication system, etc., demonstrating its innovative products and technologies in terms of connectivity, safety and efficiency. In addition, Honeywell has also reached cooperation with a number of airlines and aircraft manufacturers in China at the exhibition, and Honeywell will actively contribute to the recovery of the aviation industry with its years of experience in the industry and continuous innovation of technology.
"The China International Import Expo provides an important platform for enterprises from all over the world to display and communicate, and also provides a platform for exchanges and cooperation between China and the world. Honeywell has the honor to witness and participate in the rapid development of China, and is willing to continue to deepen the Chinese market and carry out more extensive and in-depth cooperation with China's aviation industry. Steven Lien, President of Honeywell Aerospace Group Asia Pacific, said: "Although the aviation industry has been affected by the epidemic, we are seeing a rapid recovery in the Chinese market with strong government prevention and control measures. Honeywell is willing to work with partners to meet challenges, work together for the recovery of the industry, and create a better future. ”
The UV cabin cleaning system exhibited at this meeting is the product that was unveiled in China. As an innovative product launched by Honeywell in response to the outbreak of the pandemic, the UV cabin cleaning system has received widespread attention from the industry. The system is comparable in size to an airplane beverage cart and is equipped with a UV-cleaning light arm that extends to the top of the seat to sweep the cabin to complete the cabin surface cleaning. For large and medium-sized airline fleets, the cost of cleaning operations on a single flight can be as low as less than $10 and can be completed in 10 minutes. Honeywell is currently upgrading the system, and the new version will be applied to a variety of transportation scenarios.

At the CIIE, Honeywell also reached cooperation with a number of Chinese airlines and aircraft manufacturers. On November 5, Honeywell signed an agreement with China Eastern Airlines Group to provide the 131-9A auxiliary power unit (APU) for 36 of its new Airbus A320NEO, as well as training and related services to help it improve its APU maintenance capabilities. On November 6, Honeywell signed a contract repair service agreement with Colorful Guizhou Airlines for the 131-9A APU, which will help its fleet improve operational efficiency through professional products and services. In addition, following Honeywell's 2019 COMAC Excellent Supplier Bronze Award issued by COMAC last month, the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides have been further deepened at the CIIE.

Honeywell has a long-standing and close relationship with the Chinese aviation industry. Many domestic models have Honeywell products and technologies: for example, the ARJ-21 is equipped with the main flight control system, the C919 is equipped with auxiliary power systems, wheels and brakes, inertial navigation systems and flight control systems, and the Y-12 is provided with the cockpit integrated avionics system Primus Apex. In addition to product and technical cooperation, Honeywell is also actively involved in the training of aviation professionals in China. In November 2009, Honeywell China Aviation Academy was officially completed in Shanghai, actively contributing to the talent training of China's aviation industry。
