JetBlue Airways has used Honeywell's new UV cabin cleaning system in a pilot item, which is part of Honeywell's U.S. airline fleet. Studies have found that the correct use of UV light can significantly reduce certain viruses and bacteria on aircraft cabin surfaces. The Honeywell UV cabin cleaning system cleans the aircraft cabin in less than 10 minutes, and JetBlue will continue to evaluate the system's operational health alongside other cleaning methods.
