    April 18, 2020 is the 30th anniversary of Pudong's development and opening up. As a multinational company headquartered in Pudong, Shanghai, and deeply involved in China for many years, Honeywell has witnessed the vigorous development of Pudong and actively participated in the torrent of Pudong construction. Since moving its Asia-Pacific headquarters to Pudong Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in 2003, Honeywell has launched a series of development strategies in China, such as "East Serves the East" and "East Serves the World", which originate from Pudong and radiate the whole country, making Pudong the brain of Honeywell's operation in China and directing Honeywell's successful development in China.

    Honeywell's history in China dates back to 1935, when Honeywell opened its first distribution office in Shanghai. From 2004 to 2020, Honeywell's employees in China grew from 4,000 to 11,000, and Honeywell had nearly 3,000 employees in Shanghai. At the same time, Honeywell has more than 50 wholly-owned companies and joint ventures in more than 30 cities in China, including more than 20 factories, to create a world where everything is connected, smarter, safer, and more sustainable.
