Product Description:
Versatile and robust: The Dräger Polytron IR Ex is a gas detection device for the detection of flammable gases and vapors with a measuring range of 0 to 100 % LEL. For many hydrocarbons, smaller measurement ranges such as 1-1000 ppm can be configured.
Product advantages
Product highlights
Various models
The transmitter is available in three models: a standard configuration keyboard and an LC display; No keyboard and monitor type, connected to fixed installation display equipment; Equipped with a connector to connect to the handheld terminal. This makes it easy to maintain and calibrate even in hard-to-reach locations.
Full explosion-proof protection
The transmitter Polytron Ex is labeled II 2 G and complies with Directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 95) and is therefore available for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Polytron IR Ex is certified for worldwide use and meets IEC standards.
Intrinsically safe type
Dräger does not design a fireproof enclosure. This makes it lightweight, easy to maintain and install. Transmitter components such as sensors, LC displays, and - even remote controls - user keypads are intrinsically safe; No additional safety protection is required.
Technical parameters
The impact-resistant transmitter housing is made of conductive, fiberglass-reinforced polyester. The transmitter Polytron IR Ex is used in conjunction with a matched 4 to 20 mA central controller for optimal functional safety and system practicability.
Measurement function for explosion-proof protection
In order to comply with Directive 94/9/EG (Annex II, section 1.5.5), Dräger Polytron IR Ex and IR Ex IL have been certified for the performance of the following gases and vapours in accordance with EN 50054, EN 50057, EN 50058 and EN 50271: methane, propane, acetone, cyclohexylamine, cyclopentane, dimethyl ether, ethyl acetate, methyl ethylmethyl ketone, n-pentane, i-acetone, n-octane, toluene , n-butane, butyl n-acetate, ethanol, methanol, methyl-i-butyl ketone, propylene, xylene, i-butane, and 1-butene.
