Both SS2-AM and SS2-AML are ultra-high-speed digital multispectral optical models of the SS2 UV/IR flame detector. These detectors have an ultra-high response speed to explosive fires and are generally used in the production of ammunition and explosives, as well as in certain special applications.
The SS2 detector has a 120° tapered field of view (the widest in the industry). This means that each detector covers more hazardous areas. The higher sensitivity also increases the space that each detector can cover, up to 4 times that of some other detectors. "
Uses sophisticated microprocessor signal processing algorithms to process complete spectral information without false alarms caused by arc welding, corona discharge, and other common UV light sources.

SS2-AM and SS2-AML:
• Multispectral induction of UV, visible and WideBand IR™
• Hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires can be detected
• Wide field of view and day blindness
• High sensitivity and protection against false alarms
• Microprocessor-based algorithms:
FirePic™ and Tri-Mode Plot™
• Wide operating temperature range
• Explosion-proof housing
• Compatible with FS2000™ systems or operated independently
• High response speed to explosive fires
