Why this personality / sensor
A poison-resistant MPD pellistor sees combustion heat across a wide hydrocarbon mix, including species an IR filter misses. It needs oxygen and hates silicones. Mount above light-gas releases and below heavy vapours; keep silicone sealants off the sinter.
Personality and replaceable parts
XNX-AMAV-FNCB1 uses the mV personality (MPD catalytic / MPD IR) board and mates with Honeywell MPD catalytic bead or MPD infrared sensors. Factory-fitted with MPD catalytic 0–100 %LEL. Spares live on product-3991. Do not substitute Sensepoint XCD cartridges on XNX.
Typical applications
Pump rooms, filling gantries and compressor packages still standardise on catalytic LEL because the gas slate is mixed. XNX holds 4–20 mA HART into the ESD matrix; magnetic non-intrusive calibration keeps the flameproof lid closed.
