Midas® samples can be used at intervals of up to 30 meters (100 feet) and uses patented control technology to automatically adjust the flow rate to ensure error-free gas detection and manipulation. The Midas®' compact form factor and easy-to-inspect metal body design make it easy to install in dense, day-to-day complex process environments or space-critical environments. The Midas® comes with a scale of built-in selectable power and communication modes, including 3 built-in relays, 0-22mA analog outputs, Modbus/TCP Ethernet digital outputs, and the new Power over Ethernet (PoE) protocol—a single Ethernet connection for all power, control, and communication devices. The Midas® architecture significantly reduces the cost of PLC and FieldBus system integration.

Midas® is used for the detection of toxic gas, ambient gas, and flammable gas in typical industrial environments through the transmitter platform. Pre-calibrated "plug and play" smart sensors allow for quick and easy sensor replacement without tools and prevent misuse or discarded sensor errors by operators. High-brightness LEDs as well as intuitive graphs display gas readings and alarm levels when displaying interactive menus (combined with password-protected menus for parameterization, detection and calibration).

Application range

Midas gas detector is a highly sensitive and reliable toxic and combustible gas detector used in the semiconductor industry and general industrial sites. With up to two years of sensor calibration cycles, flexible communication modes, sensor self-diagnostics and automatic flow control, Midas significantly reduces gas detector operating costs.

Extractive platform (manual / datasheet)

• Transmitter 150×65×153 mm, approx. 0.8 kg; pre-drilled wall mount, optional DIN (MIDAS-A-036) or L-bracket (MIDAS-A-032).
• 24 VDC (−15% to +10%) or IEEE 802.3af PoE 48 V; transmitter <5 W, with pyrolyzer <12.95 W, with LonWorks <8 W.
• Flow ~500 mL/min; FEP sample 1/8″ID×1/4″OD to 30 m; exhaust 1/4″ID×3/8″OD to 30 m; transit 2–30 s.
