RAEGuard 2 PID is a flameproof stainless-steel host with an intrinsically safe DigiPID for fixed VOC monitoring. The digital platform supports off-line sensor calibration and custom ranges. Graphic display, local alarm LEDs and a three-key magnetic wand so the Ex d lid stays closed on site.
The Chinese manual adds 10–28 VDC, 3-wire 4–20 mA, alarm contacts and RS-485 Modbus, in Diffusion or Flow Through versions. The brochure calls it a fixed TVOC detector with third-generation IS PID, self-cleaning and an internal circulating pump path.

Manual kit: cal adapter, magnetic wand, user manual. Outdoor Flow Through sites should add the weather enclosure, pretreatment or dryer. Those kits do not include the detector.
Mount on a 2″ pipe or a wall (133 mm hole pitch). Keep the sensor vertical. On Flow Through units connect the water-trap filter to the longer inlet.
Ex d rules: isolate power before opening in a hazardous area; earth the housing (≥4 mm², <4 Ω); use an Ex d IIC gland; field cable rated ≥80 °C.

The wand maps to [+], [−] and [MODE]. Two-point calibration: zero gas then a known span (isobutylene recommended). The unit ships calibrated; after install run 24 hours, then calibrate. The manual suggests at least every 6 months, plus local regulations.
DigiPID can be hot-swapped in the hazardous area. Removed for more than 60 s it reports sensor fail; refit, hold [+] ~3 s for “replace sensor”, then [−] to reboot. Use only OEM lamps and sensors. Clean the inlet filter regularly or response slows.
Manual part 2: DigiPID is a VOC module with UV-lamp drive and analog/digital I/O for Zone 0/1/2, IIA–IIC T4, −40 to +55 °C. Hot-swappable. T90 ~30 s diffusion / ~5 s pumped; ±2% at the cal point; typical life 2 years. Together with the host it is an Ex d + IS fixed system.
